As practiced in many other companies, EGGER – the leading derived timber product manufacturer in Europe – had a large number of heterogeneous, unstructured storage locations on hard drive, network drive, DVDs etc. for filing pictures in varying levels of resolution. Until recently that is. Now that the image database from Celium Imagine has been implemented, all of EGGER’s picture documents and all connected picture files are now centrally stored, itemized and available in a structured manner. Thus, from now on, there is only one central image pool for all of the group’s divisions and, therefore, an appropriately efficient image administration and search function is provided. Furthermore, Celum serves as a communication aid between all branch offices, external agencies, as well as for the press, i.e. the image exchange is no longer performed via DVD sent by mail, but directly online via the media database. The press is provided with access to defined press documents via a forwarded PIN code.

Together with NETural, EGGER has developed a complex wood sample shop, which is an integral part of a collection website. The project demanded systematic sophistication and includes workflow illustrations, as well as the integration of the most varied interfaces between the ECMS RedDot (Enterprise Content Management System) and the ERP System SAP.
