Netural wins 'Digitalos' innovation award with the solution 'Storyblok'

For the second time this year, the "Digitalos" award, the prize for Upper Austria's most ambitious digitalization projects and pioneers, was presented in Linz. As the gala could not take place in person due to the pandemic, it was transformed into an online broadcast – with a no less spectacular agenda. Winners were selected in a total of 5 categories by a renowned jury. We won as founders of the startup "Storyblok".

"Not all of the awards we've won reflect our true strengths as perfectly as the Special Innovators Network Award", explains Managing Director Albert Ortig. Over the past ten years, Netural has transformed itself from a web agency into a company builder – a partner that contributes its expertise in strategy, e-business, user experience design, and software engineering to help founders and organizations grow their digitalization projects. The result: successful client projects and a series of internationally operating spin-offs that operate as speedboats, lovingly connected to the "mother ship" Netural.

So what is "Storyblok" all about? In 2015, the creators of "Storyblok" started developing a headless content management system while still working at Netural. In 2017, it was then spun off as a separate company and received a seven-figure venture capital financing in 2019. Now, Storyblok is used not only by Netural's clients but in over 55,000 digital projects worldwide.

"Of course, we are proud of our fledgling offspring," Albert Ortig said in his initial reaction to the award. "Nevertheless, from our perspective, it is also about the knowledge and experience we gain internationally, not only with Storyblok but also other spin-offs like Roomle, which we can subsequently make available to our clients."
