Guests of the third HR Coworking Night in April, 2024, were able to explore the question "How can life-embedded work be successful?".

In more detail, the question driving the discussion was: Where do we, as individuals and organizations, derive the skills that allow us to work with renewed joy and that empower us to be courageous and creative in the face of the rapidly approaching changes? The goal: to drive curiosity and to find a positive narrative for the future.

A child asks around 400 questions a day. Adults? Just around 20 – a shame. Not with us: Moderator and HR Coworking host Irene Bouchal-Gahleitner provided plenty of material for the evening to inspire questions and discussions – as did the panelists Patrick Rammerstorfer from the Ministry for Curiosity & Future Aspiration, coach and Soul Motion teacher Sandra Kocher, and Albert Ortig, digital pioneer and company founder.

Five central theses that arose from the discussions:

  • Culture is more powerful than structure: External complexity first requires internal strengthening. Transformation is primarily a mindset issue.

  • The future requires imagination: The future isn't written yet; we can shape it! This requires positive narratives and curiosity.

  • Think without limits: Work is enjoyable when we try things out and believe that what is imaginable is possible.

  • When your mind is spinning, dance: Reestablishing a positive connection with your body is a prerequisite for a powerful work-life.

  • Wherever the ball comes from, we catch it: Agile working requires learning and new skills – as a team and as an individual.

Whether it was the shared dance moves, the buffet full of good karma, or the stimulating conversations over live music: the evening flew by, and a hint of life-embedded work was in the air.
